Introduction

Weinvorteil was founded in 2006 and is a German based online wine retailer. Weinvorteil is a part of Wijnvoordeel International, which is a part of the Baarsma Wine Group Holding, one of the largest wine importers in Europe. Wijnvoordeel International has companies in the Netherlands, France, Belgium and the United Kingdom. Thanks to purchasing power and its status as an online retailer, Chineur du Vin can offer the consumer excellent value for money, sometimes offering popular wines at more than 50% below the average retail price.

The Challenge

Weinvorteil had already started using an email marketing program, but weren’t satisfied with delivery rates or the feedback. The information they received on metrics such as bounced emails, invalid addresses or forwarded emails was insufficient and many of their clients unsubscribed from their newsletter in a short span of time.Weinvorteil heard about GraphicMail through their Dutch sister company Wijnvoordeel, so they tried sending a newsletter via the GraphicMail platform. The results were better, and importantly for Weinvorteil, they finally got the management information that they wanted. The decision to switch to GraphicMail was taken quickly.They then heard that their Dutch sister company started using GraphicMail successfully and tried it out themselves. The results were very good and most importantly, they finally got the management information that we wanted. So the decision to switch to this platform was quickly made.
